Trees #1 ROUNDNESS

They stand, as if in prayer to the sun,
soaking up light with every fiber of their being. Sunlight synthesis.

Breathing sun energy into atmosphere,
they make circles go round.

Trees are round as water is round. Water ripples and tree rings. Circles within circles.

They stand, circulating water from land to leaf into mist in the air, clouds and soft rain.
Water cycle management.
Breathing moisture into atmosphere, they renew the cycles of life.

Trees are round as ecosystems are round as the earth is round. Circles within circles.

The roundness that governs the universe.

The words and rhythm of the poem are warm and natural.
It brings my heart to the vibration of the cosmic truth.

“Sunlight synthesis,” “Water ripples and tree rings.
Circles within circles,”-what a beautiful expression!

“The roundness that governs the universe.”
I agree with it. Everything is evolving with the force
of cycles and spirals. Thank you for the power of the poem.

“Trees are round as round as the earth is round. Circles within circles.”

These words by Brian struck me like the round “Enso” drawn by a Zen monk with a brush on Japanese paper.

One would have to have experienced the essence of traditional Japanese culture, the “cycle of life,” not with one’s head but with one’s heart, to be able to weave such words. I felt that this is a job that only Brian could do.

I consider Brian a poet, and I believe that because he is a poet, he is able to convey to the world the “wisdom of living in harmony with nature” that lies deep within the inner universe, with the “power of poetry,” as Akira said in his comment.

Thank you Brian! I am happy to start a new mission with you.
